Hi! We are FunXtion, a digital fitness experience company. We provide gyms with the tools to stay relevant in this fast-paced, ever-changing digital landscape. We do this by offering them energising content and better delivery systems (e.g. apps, portals) so their members can train with them anytime, anywhere. We help some of the largest and best-known companies in the world (such as Fitness First, Goodlife and Anytime Fitness).

When someone asks what you do for work, you say:

“I work for one of the coolest companies in the Netherlands, called FunXtion. I play an important role in helping our teams reach their full potential. I basically validate their activities to see if they deliver on what we actually want them to do - and if they don’t, I help to think of alternative methods and test these solutions until we reach our goals.”


But what you really do:

You take the lead with our growth marketing strategies - specifically running experiments across the awareness, acquisition, and activation levels of the funnel with a focus on the client persona. You love nothing more than to optimise and improve the results of our targets in the B2B market and boosting conversion rates. You do this by proactively identifying challenges throughout all our departments - not just the marketing team - during biweekly meetings, and developing hypothetical solutions to address these problems. This comes from your ability to design creative growth strategies from SEO to email marketing based on metrics and how to achieve them. You understand that companies do not grow just because of one simple practice but because of combined efforts in the same direction. Observation and analysis is also a crucial part of your day-to-day work life, including executing MVT’s, evaluating results and creating a structured procedure as part of a cross-department initiative.


In addition, you’re the master of:

  • Using a holistic approach when looking for improvement opportunities over all departments and when creating hypotheses

  • Interpreting data to make informed decisions

  • Applying logical thinking in order to break complex problems into their component parts

  • Challenging the team to set up their own experiments


Besides being a data-driven, analytical client whisperer, you:

  • Have at least 1 year of work experience as a growth hacker/marketer, digital marketer or experience in a similar role with experience in validating ideas

  • Feel that experimenting is in your blood - and you dare to go for it.

  • Know what we mean when we say ‘Customer Value Canvas’

  • Are process-driven and enterprising with a T-shaped skillset

  • You speak fluent Dutch and English and can communicate ideas and plans to a variety of different audiences
