Role: Customer Support / Back Office
Location: Living in the Netherlands mandatory / Amsterdam preferred

We are looking for someone who can read minds and fix all our problems. Just kidding - we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic communicator who can figuratively hold our client’s hands through the onboarding process with our products and any other minor problems they might have along the way.

Hi! We are FunXtion, a digital fitness experience company. We provide gyms with the tools to stay relevant in this fast-paced, ever-changing digital landscape. We do this by offering them energizing content and better delivery systems (e.g. apps, portals) so their members can train with them anytime, anywhere. We help some of the largest and best-known companies in the world (such as Fitness First, Goodlife and Anytime Fitness).

When someone asks what you do for work, you say:
“I work for one of the coolest companies in the Netherlands, called FunXtion. I play an important role in making sure our clients are always happy and satisfied with our products and services. I answer their questions and troubleshoot any issues along the way.”
But what you really do:
You are the first line of contact for our clients. If there are any bugs, issues, or other user-related questions, you-re the go-to friendly face our customers will look for to support them, whether that be by phone, mail or chat. When you notice the same questions coming up time and time again, you create support articles that our clients can refer to, or automate chat answers for rapid-response. That way, our clients can get the responses they need as soon as possible while you don't end up feeling like a broken record. When there are new or unique questions, you know how to prioritise and resolve these efficiently and effectively because you have stellar time-management and problem-solving skills, and you also just really enjoy customer service. And of course, when those questions or issues fall outside of your area, you create bug tickets for our development team who will take it from there.
Understanding the needs of customers and translating them into successful solutions
Delivering basic technical product support
Fielding a lot of inbound calls, emails and chats from customers who need help and identifying when it’s appropriate to request support in escalation management
Responding and resolving issues in time, based on ticket priorities
Building user happiness, during and after a resolved ticket
Giving timely, clear, concise and complete communications to both our clients and to the FunXtion team
Besides being a customer-focused problem-solver, you:
Have previous experience in a customer service role
Have a desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and proactively seek to resolve problems
Take strong ownership, bias for action, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
Have a great deal of empathy that allows you to connect with your customer over both their successes and their frustrations
Are fluent in English another language is a bonus
